Native Ads and AppLovin

Earlier this month, when Business Insider featured AppLovin, we were particularly happy to see our unique product first approach highlighted. We’re proud of that strategy, which, as the article states, means that “engineers and data scientists rule at AppLovin.” To us, success depends on making a terrific product the first priority. But we were also happy to see one of our new native ad products covered in the article.

We’re known for being bullish on the native format itself, but this is the first time we’ve created a product that serves ads on the mobile web rather than through apps alone. Don’t think that we are shifting directions — we are AppLovin afterall — but this new product is a response to a pressing need to bring the App install market over to mobile web. There’s enormous opportunity in this space as mobile consumers spend massive amounts of time on the mobile web.
