Dynamic catalog is the third screen of the AppLovin ad experience. Dynamic catalogs display up to 12 SKUs or offers personalized to each user.
When implemented correctly, dynamic catalogs increase conversions by up to 20%.
| Dynamic product catalog | Dynamic offering catalog | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | You have 5+ SKUs. | You have fewer than ~5 distinct products. |
| Key features | Displays personalized recommendations driven by product feed + revenue data. Sends users directly to specific product detail pages. | Displays a variety of offers suitable for all users. Sends users to predefined landing pages rather than product pages. |
| Required | Valid product feed (can be inferred by Pixel automatically or via Shopify, or customized with feed links), item URLs, required attributes. | No product feed required; ideal if you do not have a catalog. |
Dynamic product catalog
Showcase up to 12 personalized, relevant product recommendations from your catalog. Each product tile links to its product detail page, giving shoppers a seamless path from discovery to purchase.
How to enable
- Shopify Connector — Auto-syncs product catalog (recommended)
- CSV Feed — Manual upload; check update timestamps regularly
Dynamic offering catalog
Present a range of relevant offers to your audience - no product feed required. Dynamic offering catalogs enable you to highlight value props, service tiers, or subscription benefits without requiring a product feed.
How to enable
- Select Create New Catalog in the Catalog Manager.
- Choose Offering Catalog.
- Click Add Items.
- Add one row per offer, following the guidelines in the Required fields table below.
- For best visual presentation, AppLovin recommends that you add an even number of offers and at least six items.
Configuration tips
- Create Item Sets — remove duplicate SKUs (e.g. same product, different colors)
- Exclude non-core products (accessories, giftcards)
- Use cross-sell logic: if video features pants → DPA shows tops or other categories
- Ensure all DPA products have correct, working landing pages
