They’re our heroes, mentors, and supporters. For this year’s Father’s Day, AppLovin is recognizing our dads for their strong work ethic, practical advice, and unquestionable loyalty to their families. To show our appreciation, we asked the AppLovin employees to share why they’re most thankful for their dads.

Here’s what they said:

“My dad’s tireless efforts to raise a an immigrant family in the United States is a priceless gift and lifelong lesson to always strive for and stay hopeful, even through the toughest of times. Thank you, for teaching me what it means to be a loving father. :)” —Haris Wasim, Software Engineer II

My dad is very much like a giant grizzly bear: sleeps and eats all day but will do everything in his power to protect those that he cares about. Happy Father’s Day, Teddy!—Margaret Tran, Design Intern

“He answers the phone at any hour to aid in all my troubles: cannot figure out how to work a screwdriver, barn is on fire, there’s a bug, existential crisis.”—Bethany Frank, Sr. Product Manager

“I’m thankful for my dad’s constant presence and support in my life and for all his perfectly timed jokes.”—Shalan Chau, 3D Generalist, Lion Studios

What kind of mobile apps are dads into?

Just like we did for Mother’s Day, we asked what kind of apps dads enjoy most, and the overwhelming response was mobile apps. Here’s the breakdown:

Mobile games was the top choice for apps, followed by productivity/education apps, food and delivery apps, and fitness trackers.
