Help Girl Develop It Continue Empowering Women Software Developers at Their Holiday Fundraiser in San Francisco

Founded in New York City in 2010, Girl Develop It provides affordable web and software development programs for women. The nonprofit currently has nearly 60,000 members in 57 cities around the country.
Girl Develop It began as a call to action by women who wanted to see change in the underrepresentation of women in the tech industry. According to the National Center for Women & Information Technology, women only hold 26% of the approximately four million computing-related jobs in the US. The goal of the organization is to achieve better representation for women in the technology industry through affordable programming classes.
On Tuesday, December 5th, Girl Develop It is having its 2017 San Francisco Holiday Fundraiser where it hopes to raise money to subsidize classes for its members and to celebrate its students and teachers. We’re happy to be sponsoring the GDI Holiday Fundraiser and we hope to see you there!
The event will be held at the Unity Technologies office at 30 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 from 6:30 to 8:30PM. Be sure to RSVP for the event here. Proceeds from the GDI Holiday Fundraiser will go toward supporting cost-effective programs for women and will help Girl Develop It expand to new cities.
